Hemorrhoids Warts

Hemorrhoids warts are not at all a type of hemorrhoid. We call them like that, but they are really known as anal warts or rectal warts.

I believe some people have adopted that name for them, as they are easily confused with external hemorrhoids.

The reason for this confusion is that they sometimes bleed bright red blood like external hemorrhoids. They can also grow to a size that take over the anus, causing irritation, burning and pain thus feeling an annoying disturbance exactly like an external hemorrhoid.

Rectal warts are growths that are caused by a particular virus which usually spreads by direct human contact only.

Anal warts if left untreated, may with time cause cancer to the anal area.

There are various treatments available that a medical doctor can take to remove the warts. From simply applying a freezing agent on the wart, but this may cause skin damage around the wart.

To using a cauterization method or even surgical removal. This will depend on the surgeons decision, and the size and quantity of the warts.

The only prevention is not to touch, or have sex with a partner that has anal warts.

Very important: If you have anal warts refrain any sexual activity, until you have cleared yourself completely from them.

Although not a life threatening situation. It is of utmost importance to see a doctor immediately, so that you may resume your sexual activities soon after and at the same time avoid any possible danger of cancer.
