Nitroglycerin

There are different ointments on the market that contains nitroglycerin.

This active ingredient is used to cure fissure hemorrhoids or also known as an anal fissure.

The theory behind this ointment is that it supposed to relax the spasms of the rectal muscles, thus allowing more blood flow in the area.

By doing this, it promotes the healing process to the rectal fissures.

However, the side effects are severe and many including te following; dizziness, lightheaded, fainting, nausea, vomiting, and blurred vision.

But the one that is the most common one is severe head aches.

This is due to the fact that the anus absorbs the ointment very rapidly and effectively.

The sad part is that even the stats by The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons have come to the conclusion that this active ingredient, more often just causes huge headaches, rather than actually treat the symptoms of rectal fissures.

In my case, I used an ointment called "rectogesic," which obviously contained the same active ingredient.

As the stats report mentioned above, all it did was give me really huge and heavy headaches and nothing else.

Absolutely no relief of pain, and no fissures hemorrhoids cure whatsoever!
